Our annual meeting will be Tuesday, July 31. The board and the executive committee will be preparing next year's budget and priorities at its May and June meetings. Feel free to contact anyone on the executive committee with input on future directions and priorities of Prospector Square. Our budget year runs July 1 to June 30. Executive committee members are:
Phase 1 Master Plan Contract under final review for reconstruction of Lots D & H
The contract for Phase 1 of the PSPOA Master Plan is under final review and potentially could be signed within the week. Reconstruction of Lots D & H is tentatively scheduled to begin the week of May 6 and potentially could last up to 60-days. Initially work will focus on sewer lines, utilities and sidewalks and will only require partial closures of certain aspects of the lots. During the later stages of construction when the lots are paved, there might be more extensive closures. Again, we plan on regular updates to those bordering both lots.
When the contract is awarded, we'll do another email. As the firm dates are known, PSPOA representatives will be going door-to-door and meeting with tenants and owners who border both lots. Miller Paving and PSPOA will put out sandwich boards indicating businesses are still open and that additional parking is available nearby is Lots F and G across the street.
Once finished, both lots will be a substantial upgrade to our current lots.
Prospector Ave. Construction
We are hopeful. The April 3 bid opening came in over bid, but the City of Park City is looking at options to make up the difference and this will likely be on the city council’s May 3 agenda. This project is led by UDOT with a federal grant that expires after this year. Hopefully a bid will be awarded after that date and reconstruction of Prospector Ave. can begin later this spring. We will keep you posted.
Movie Night Returning Aug. 11
The Park City Film Series will be hosting the third annual “drive-in” movie night Saturday, Aug. 11, in Lot K. Expect more information coming soon, including movie name.
Starting Saturday, April 28, electric bikes return to Park City. One of the stations is located on the walkway behind Lots A and I. On April 16th, the program’s operational staff began work at the stations on operational improvements and upgrades as the city prepares for the opening.
Chamber April Business After Hours Mixer
in Prospector Square
The Prospect Executive Suites hosts this month's Chamber mixer on Thursday April 26, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. They are located at 2078 Prospector Avenue, near Gold Dust Lane. Enjoy complimentary hors d'oeuvres, beverages, networking and fun with other members of the Park City / Summit County business community. Remember to bring your name tag and plenty of business cards. Business After Hours Mixers are casual get-togethers, coordinated through the Park City Chamber/Bureau, and hosted by a different Chamber/Bureau member each month. They are a GREAT way to build relationships and make connections in the community. We look forward to seeing you there!
